Females aged 13yrs - 18yrs who have achieved an Aged State qualifying time, as set by Swimming WA each season.
Males aged 14yrs-18yrs who have achieved an Aged State qualifying time, as set by Swimming WA each season.

Females aged 11yrs - 13yrs who have achieved a Junior State qualifying time, as set by Swimming WA each season.
Males aged 12yrs-14yrs who have achieved a Junior State qualifying time, as set by Swimming WA each season.
Commitment to Academy Swimming Criteria
To be selected and hold their position as a member of the Northern Swimming Academy, swimmers will need to demonstrate commitment to participating in Northern regional and country swimming. They are required to:
hold current membership with SWA and with a swimming club located within the Northern Region.
be in regular training with their Club (or previous Club and current Club combined if they have transferred recently) for three (3) months prior to the commencement of the new season (1 October).
have competed in the Hancock Prospecting Pilbara Championships in the previous season and will compete in the Hancock Prospecting Pilbara Championships in the current season.
have competed in at least two (2) of the local Northern Region hosted club meets.
commit to attending the Academy camps, and clinics offered by the Northern Region.
Provided they were registered with a club in the Northern Region at that time.
